Slate Saddle Ridge
Saddle ridges and an open valley at the intersection of two roofs. Notice the nailheads on the last piece of the lower ridge. The exposed nailheads, unavoidable at times, must be struck with silicone or a similar sealer. A continuous membrane typically runs under the slate and the covered portion of each pair of opposing ridge pieces is often flashed with a waterproof membrane as well.
